Security Tips "Create E-mail to the kids"

This time there are tips how we can make Email to a child. These tips might you apply for your child, nephew, friend of your child, or for those who are not married you can use later you're married and have kids.

Internet for child's actually more good or harm? This question will lead to a long debate. Child's can get a variety of knowledge from the Internet. If we look a little, the current elementary school child's had been given the task to find the answer on the Internet. It is the Internet child's, the child's can get a lot of knowledge, including knowledge that is not the time they received and the knowledge that they are actually not for the child's. Does that mean parents should forbid their surf? Some parents may be opposed to this prohibition action. Because can not deny that the Internet also has its many positive values.

Perhaps the middle road that can be taken, your internet connection remains open but not open "as wide as possible". There are restrictions that can be made by parents, for example in Windows Vista has such vitur name is "Parental Control". However there are also other software with Windows terbundel not. For example, Net Nanny and CyberPatrol Parental Control. But unfortunately none of the software, this software has a feature to be able to monitor email baby. Yet information "Not True" could also go into the Inbox on the email baby.

Social Media Optimization - A Priority For Your SEO Campaign

Social media optimization (SMO) is an imperative ingredient of your SEO campaigns. In the past, social networking sites were little more than an oddity. Today, several have acquired enormous ranking authority from top search engines. If you are not leveraging these sites to improve your exposure and communicate with your niche market, your search engine positions are vulnerable to your competitors.

In this article, we will describe the influence that social media optimization is currently having on search marketing. We'll also give you the rules of engagement for executing an effective SMO campaign. We'll explain what SEO social media is, and the advantage of hiring an experienced SEO consultant to spearhead your social media optimization efforts.

The Influence Of Social Media Optimization On Search Marketing

Search marketing has always relied upon exposure in the search engines to drive targeted traffíc. For years, gaining that exposure was based solely upon the development of your site and generating links pointing to your site. Both are still important today. However, social media optimization has shifted the landscape of search engine marketing.

How to Speed up your Article Marketing with Firefox

As you may already know, article marketing, also known as article directory submission, is an effective way to build relevant links and to boost your online visibility. The benefits are plentiful and the investment is minimal, in most cases anyway. What many people do not know, however, is that there are two tools in particular, both of them free to download and use, that can speed up your article directory submissions immensely. While these tools will not let you auto-submit to article directories, they certainly bring you several steps closer to auto-submit speeds while keeping to the safer, and more accurate, manual article directory submission model.

These two tools rely on the use of the Firefox web browser, so if you do not yet have Firefox installed on your computer, you should download it now.

Informenter

Informenter is a form-filling add-on for Firefox that allows you to "click and fill" text fields on a website. When enabled, an arrow is placed next to a text field on a web page, and you simple click on the arrow, choose the text to input, and click on that text. The tradeoff here is that instead of copying and pasting your article information into an article directory submission form, or worse yet -- actually typing all of the information in, this two-click process will shave precious seconds off from each and every manual article directory submission that you perform.

To use Informenter, just install it, setup a profile, and enter each of your details onto a new line. Personally, we store our name, our email address, our website's primary URL, our article summary, article title, one text version of our author bio, and one HTML version of our author bio in Informenter when we are getting ready to submit an article to article directories.

You can download Informenter here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/673

Roboform

Many people already know the power, security, and convenience that Roboform wields for protection of personal information. However, many of those people, even if they utilize article marketing as an off-page SEO or link-building strategy, do not realize the potential that Roboform holds for article marketing.

Even with the limited, yet free, version of Roboform, you are able to input what it calls "custom" fields. These custom fields represent different elements of your article that you are submitting to article directories -- your name, your website's URL, the article itself, your article's summary, keywords, and so forth. While the pro version of Roboform allows unlimited custom fields, the free version currently allows three custom fields after you have the software installed for thirty days. In any case, it is still a big help.

How Roboform differs from Informenter is notable; instead of having to click on an arrow to fill each individual field, you simply have to click a single button with Roboform to fill all of the fields on an article directory submission form -- it's far from perfect one-hundred percent of the time, but it is a real time saver.

Now, getting the names of custom fields for article directories is a bit technical and tricky, so we'll outline a few common "field names" for use with article marketing. First, however, we'll outline the different fields used in the custom area of a Roboform identity:
  • Field name - This is the primary field name used for text and textarea inputs on a directory submission form.
  • Field value - This area is where your article's information will go. This information can include your name, website URL, article, article title, etc.
  • Other match strings - This area works with the 'field name' section to supply additional field names for article directories that use a less-common field name to represent the submission form fields.
Here is a list of common 'field name' words and 'other match string' words -- other match string words are in parenthesis.
  • Title (arttitle, articletitle) - represents your article's title
  • Summary (artsummary) - represents your article's summary
  • Article (artbody, body) - is the actual article that you are submitting to the directory
  • About (artres, author, bio, signature, articleabout) - this is the 'about the author' bio, or blurb
  • Keywords (artkey, articlekeywords) - a short list of keywords used to represent your website, usually separated by commas
  • Link (url) - this is the primary URL for your article

A note about Roboform

If possible, we recommend that you purchase the pro version. While it is $30, in terms of improved functionality and speed during article marketing, these benefits alone justify the purchase price. For our own article directory submissions, we store a HTML version of our article in one identity and the text version in a separate identity -- this saves you from constantly having to move back and forth between a text document and your web browser during submission.

You can download Roboform here: http://www.roboform.com

The add-on that allows Firefox toolbar integration can be downloaded here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/750

We recommend using both Roboform and Informenter together for manual article directory submissions, regardless of whether you have purchased the pro version of Roboform or not. Before we draw this tutorial to a close, here are a few things that you should be aware of:

1. Not all fields 'fill' with Roboform.
2. Roboform is not accurate 100% of the time -- sometimes field names overlap, and when they do, sometimes the wrong information is placed into the wrong field.
3. Not all fields fill with Informenter -- built-in HTML editors sometimes require a manual cut and paste.
4. You should always double-check your submission information before hitting the 'submit' button. Placing your article in the 'about the author' field will not win you any brownie points with an article directory owner, and will likely lead to your article being declined immediately.

Article marketing is a popular, and effective, method that you can use to promote your website and brand your name or your business online. By familiarizing yourself with these two tools, and maybe considering a small investment, you can speed up your article marketing exponentially.

5 Critical Steps to Protecting Your Computer on the Internet

If you are connected to the internet, you need to make sure you get your computer set up properly if you want to avoid problems down the road.
With all the viruses, spyware and other threats on the internet today, no computer should be set up without the proper protection.
And that protection needs to be in place as soon after you hook up your new machine as possible.

The following five steps will make your computer a much harder target for threats. You still won't be completely immune to problems, but 99% of the time the threat will pass you by, looking for the easy mark.

1. Running a Personal Firewall

A personal firewall is software that basically makes your computer invisible to hackers, worms and other threats that can infect your computer over the internet.

Setting up a firewall is the absolute first thing you should do if you're going to connect to the internet. Without a firewall, your computer could get infected in as little as one minute after connecting.

If you have a brand new computer running Windows XP Service Pack 2, there is a firewall built into Windows. It will already have been turned on when you first set up your computer.

If you're running an older version of Windows, even an earlier version of Windows XP, there is no firewall automatically set up for you. In this case there are two possibilities:

- Your computer came pre-loaded with a firewall such as Norton Internet Security or McAfee Internet Security - You have no firewall installed and should download one ASAP.

If you don't have any personal firewall software installed, you should do so right away. Zone Alarm is a very good firewall program that has a version that you can download and install for free.

You can download the free version of Zone Alarm from http://www.computer-help-squad.com/zonealarm

2. Turn on Windows Updates

Again, if you're running Windows XP Service Pack 2 this is already set up, but otherwise you should turn on Windows Updates. Microsoft releases updates for security problems and other bugs in Windows on a regular basis.

These updates will keep your computer running better, and they often fix security issues that could compromise your information or privacy.

If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, you can double-check that automatic updates are turned on by clicking Start, then click Control Panel, then double-click Security Center. The window that opens will tell you if automatic updates are turned on, and lets you turn them on if they're not.

To turn on automatic updates in earlier versions of Windows XP, click on the Start menu, click Control Panel and then double-click on System. On the "Automatic Updates" tab, click the option to "Automatically download the updates and install them on the schedule I specify."

To turn them on in Windows 2000, click on Start, click Control Panel and then double-click on Automatic Updates. Again, click the option to "automatically download the updates and install them on the schedule I specify."

Now when Microsoft releases updates, they will be downloaded for you automatically and Windows will tell you when they are ready to be installed.

3. Install & Update Antivirus Software

Most new computers come with antivirus software these days. You might have Norton, McAfee, PC-Cillin or another brand. No matter what program you have, you will need to update it when you get connected to the internet.

It doesn't matter how new your computer is - there will be new viruses, and new updates for the antivirus software, since it was loaded.

The exact process is different for each brand of antivirus program, but most of them will have an icon in the bottom right corner of your desktop, beside the time. The icon might be a picture of a shield (McAfee), a stethoscope (Norton) or something else.

In most cases, if you point to the icon for your antivirus and click the right mouse button, a menu will pop up with an update option. It could be simply called update or could be something like Live Update or Download Latest Updates. If you click on the update option (with the left button this time) it will install the newest updates for you.

If you're not sure which icon is for your antivirus software, just point to each one for a few seconds and a little title should pop up telling you what it is.

4. Install Anti-Spyware Software

Spyware - and other things known as adware and malware - is becoming as big a problem as viruses. Spyware programs can cause a lot of problems with your computer, not to mention they can track your personal information and you never know where it's being sent.

Some new computers might includes antispyware software, but most of them don't yet. There are quite a few anti-spyware programs available, some free and some not. The one I recommend is from Microsoft and is one of the free ones.

One of the reasons I like it is because it always runs in the background and will automatically catch a lot of spyware before it gets on your computer.

Many of the other programs don't catch it until you run a scan. Not only does this allow things to get on your computer, it also means you have to actually remember to run a scan.

You can download the free Microsoft Antispyware from http://www.computer-help-squad.com/antispyware

5. Set up a Free Email Account

This last item is not as critical as the first four, but I would highly recommend you set up an email account with one of the free services like Hotmail or Gmail.

Once you're on the internet, you'll find a lot of useful information that you want that requires you to provide an email address. In some cases, these people will end up sending you a bunch of spam.

If you use a free email account to sign up for anything that you don't know for sure you can trust, it's not going to fill your main email with a bunch of junk.

This goes for anything really, not just online information. If you're entering a contest or signing up for anything offline and you don't know where your information could end up being used, I would suggest using your free email address.

If worse comes to worse, and your free email address gets inundated with spam, you can always just set up a new one and let the old one expire.

Some of the better free email services are www.hotmail.com, www.gmail.com and www.yahoomail.com.

If you've had your computer for a while and never done any of these things, you should still take these steps to get it set up properly. It will definitely save you a lot of time - and possibly money - as you use your system.

How Protected are You? Safeguard Your Small Business from Computer Viruses

The fact is, every time you log onto the Internet, send an email message, open an attachment, or insert a floppy disk, you risk infecting your computer system. Computer viruses are out there just waiting to wreak havoc on your data, documents, programs, or whole computer system.

If you need proof, look no further than "Melissa" and "I love you," two email viruses that paralyzed computer systems around the world as recently as 1999 and 2000. Another virus named "Nimda" infected approximately 2.2 million computers in about a 24 hour period.

There are now estimates of over 58,000 different known computer viruses currently in circulation. The risk of damage to your small business computer system is increasing.

What different types of computer attacks do you need to be concerned about now??

~ Virus: A malicious code that alters the data on a computer and harasses the user by deleting data or altering operating system files, especially boot files.

~ Trojan Horse: A program that is not what it seems to be. A popular version pretends to be and anti-virus fix and instead delivers a virus.

~ Worm: A virus that is self-replicating, most often through email

~ Zombie: A dormant Trojan that is placed on a computer then waits for a command to do its damage.

So what to do?

1. Regularly backup everything that is of value that you have stored on your computer. A small business's biggest safeguard could simply be backing up your data. Some of today's viruses are so powerful, anti-virus software cannot clean infected files; the software can only delete the infected files.

2. Use anti-virus software. Check for updates regularly. Scan all the files on your computer periodically.

3. Your Internet connection needs a firewall (a protective software layer that sits between your computer and the outside world).

Approximately 10 % of the U.S. Internet users have fast cable modems or high-speed phone-based digital subscriber lines. The "always on" nature of these high-speed connections creates an open door for these computer attacks. Firewalls are essential for those connecting to the Internet with high-speed connections.

Even dial-up connections may be at risk, so install a firewall. Your firewall will act as your safe gatekeeper between your computer system and Internet hackers.

Note that anti-virus software won't detect hacker intrusions but your firewall will. Your firewall won't detect viruses but your anti-virus software will -- so install both anti-virus and firewall software on your system.

If you are using Microsoft's new Windows XP operating system, you already have a firewall built in. If you're running an older version of Windows, consider installing Zone Alarm, which is free for individual and nonprofit use.

More sophisticated firewall that are popular among small businesses are Norton Internet Security 2002 and Norton Personal Firewall 2002.

4. Shut down computers when not in use for the rest of the day. Or physically disconnect your computers from the Internet. If you use a high-speed broadband connection, turn off your high-speed modem when not in use.

5. All email attachments are to be regarded with particular suspicion, since most viruses today are transmitted as attachments via email. Use your anti-virus software to scan any attachment before opening it. It's also a good idea never to open an attachment unless you know the person who sent it to you.

6. Check your application software vendors' web sites regularly for security patches. Keep up with computer security issues in the news that might affect you.

7. Make sure you scan all floppy disks that you receive from an outside source or that have been inside another computer before using the disks. Likewise, scan all downloaded files before using them, and only download files from trusted sources.

8. Educate all your employees regarding computer virus. Most viruses today are transmitted through emails with attachments, engineered to appeal to the recipient by promising a free screen saver, party pictures, or photos of celebrities.

Email attachments are to be regarded with particular suspicion, since most real-world viruses today are transmitted as attachments via email. Use your virus software to scan any attachment before opening it. It's also a good idea never to open an attachment unless you know the person from whom it came.

9. Consider purchasing computer system insurance. Most standard commercial insurance policies exclude intangibles like data and software. But insurers are starting to fill that gap with technology risk insurance, which can be added as an endorsement or purchased as a specialty policy.

Such policies pay for replacing software and reinstalling data, as well as lost revenue for business interruption, if you are the victim of a hacker or virus attack.

10. If you do not feel your small business has technology expertise in house to handle your computer system backups and monitor security -- consider out-sourcing your security needs.

Your personal peace of mind will more than make-up your efforts and the small cost outlay.

Some Tips For Buying home computers Wireless Routers

The advent of wireless routers has helped small offices and home computers interconnect and function fast. No more sharing of files with thumb drives or squabbles over who will access the internet fast. If you have notebook or laptop you can keep repositioning your place of work within your house, such is the convenience of wireless networking. With a little bit of planning you can configure a network that suits your business requirements the most.
The task of settling for a particular model of wireless router can be very puzzling. There are many models from various manufacturers and each with many features. Some of the features of wireless routers to check out before buying one are explained below.

Router Functionalities
Firewall
Firewalls are ideal for home networks. They help in protecting home use computers by stalling the destructive efforts of other official websites and potential hackers. This software or hardware device filters the information coming through the internet connection, flagging the information that is not to be allowed through. You can find some such models at:

VPN Pass through
VPN pass through feature of routers allows traffic between the endpoints and does not support one of the endpoints. This feature is ideal for routers of home use or small office setups; they are less expensive than a router with full VPN that supports the endpoints.

DHCP server
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers can be implemented for windows based system. The server automatically assigns an IP address to the computer’s TCP/IP stack software.

Wireless Access Point
The performance of your network will depend on signal strength of the wireless access point. Before you position it, find out the exact location from where it will give the maximum network range.

DSL Modem
Digital Subscriber Line modems are faster than regular modems and can use the existing phone lines. Both internet connection and phone lines for telephone calls can be used simultaneously.

Voice over IP gateway
VoIP routers have both wireless networking feature and telephone terminal adapters. With this feature the network can access both Internet and voice communications.

Protocols
These are formats for transferring data between the various devices. The protocols determine the various aspects of the data like compression types, delivery and retrieval by devices and error checking. The standard protocols differ in their various features, so in order to communicate with other computers correct protocols must be selected.

Internet Protocol (IP) enables unique addressing for computers.
When used with transport control protocol, it is referred as TCP/IP.
The newer IP version 6 is referred as IPv6. This version addresses 16 bytes in length.
DHCP: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol assigns dynamic IP addresses to devices on a network.

Routing Protocols
The information packets have to be routed by a series of routers to get to its destination. Latest routers automatically exchange route information with other routers through the use of routing protocols.

While configuring the router on your own, you have to choose what types of routing protocol you have to install and configure.

RIP version-1: It is a dynamic protocol and automatically figures routing tables on its own, thus manual inputs are not required.
Encryption Standards
This feature configures the virtual private network, encryption hardware advanced integration modules and the network modules.

Data Encryption Standard - applies 56-bit key to 64-bit block of data. This is the most commonly used encryption standard. A single key is used which is very difficult to break.

Triple DES (3DES) - applies 3 keys in succession making it more difficult to break the code.

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) will be the next encryption standard for commercial transactions in the private sector.

MD5

SHA 1
Modulation
There are many standards of modulation. The most commonly used types are:
QAM: Quadrature Amplitude Modulation, a dominant modulation technique for high speed digital signals.
CCK: Complimentary Code Keying is a modulation scheme to operate in data speeds up to 11Mbps in the RF band.
OFDM: Orthogonal Frequency division multiplexing modulation is used for even higher speeds of 54Mbps.
DSSS: Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum use wideband signals that are not easy to detect and resists jamming attempts.

Security
Today no home and office network is secure. To counter the hacking efforts of hackers, look for good built-in security functionalities. These will ensure that your system doesn’t slow down, those within the range of your wireless are not able to view your files, emails, instant messages, usernames and passwords. Depending on the security features you can also block spams, illegal activities with your internet connection and prevent loading of dangerous software.

This however doesn’t mean your network is completely secure.
Some steps that can be taken are:
Enable WEP, wired equivalent privacy encryption provides security to WLANS. The WEP keys encrypt the data stream.
Turning on WPA encryption. The Wi-Fi protected access adds on the authentication and encryption features WEP explained above.
TKIP, Temporal Key Integrity Protocol covers up for the encryption weaknesses of WEP.
WPA2 protection is the latest one and provides high level of protection.
Enable wireless MAC Address filtering.

WEP Encryption length
The WEP encryption is based on a combination of secret user keys and system generated values. The key encrypts and de-encrypts the data that is transferred between the access points and the clients. There are two versions:
The earlier version supported 40-bit encryption; the key length was 40 bits and 24 additional bits of system generated data, thus a total of 64 bits.
Easy decoding of 40 bit WEP encryption encouraged vendors to go in for 128-bit encryption. 128-bit encryption has a key length of 104 bits.

Antenna Type
The omni directional antenna of routers broadcast 360degrees around the router. Position them in such a way that you can make the most of the radiating signals.

External antennas can add strength significantly, thus giving a wider range and increased network performance when compared with the performance of in-built antennas.

Detachable antennas disable 802.11a lower band communications when detached. On attaching the antenna the lower band is enabled. Thus they can be screwed into the device and can be upgraded easily.

The third type is the internal integrated antennas. These antennas are built-in, and hence cannot be changed or directed.
Brand Name
Wireless routers are still evolving, and at this infant stage it will do good to stick to one brand. Switching between brands can lead to compatibility problems. Linksys and Netgear wireless routers are among the few companies that have the highest wireless router ratings a company can get.
Linksys
Linksys wireless routers are easy to install and are reputed to give good performance and signal range. The various features that the router supports are protection from hackers with NAT technology, VPN pass through, and can encrypt all wireless transmissions. Most of its models have excellent performance and extremely useful support features. Some of the features are the firewall and routing capabilities, MAC address filtering and virtual server support. Most of the models are easy to configure with the browser-based configuration.
Netgear
Netgear wireless routers have not only superior looks but also good signal strength and wider range. Security features are good and are taken care of with WPA-PSK, WEP (128-bit). Netgear markets wide range of wireless routers for home networking as well as business networking. The selling factors are ease of use, reliability, quality and security.
Apple
Customers loyal to this brand can go in for wireless routers of this brand; they are however priced higher than models of other brands with similar features. Security and support features are good. Tips for Buying a First Computer

The first question you need to ask yourself is why you need a computer and for what purpose you will use it:

* Surfing the Internet
* Sending and receiving e-mail
* Word Processing
* Spreadsheet and Money management
* Listening and recording music
* Storing and manipulating images
* Playing games

When you are certain that you really need a computer then you need to consider what computer to purchase.
The most common type of computer is the PC. Fewer and fewer people these days use Macintoshes and while Apple still makes them they are used primarily for graphics work at the high end multimedia level.

For home or office use you may be far better purchasing a desktop PC with pre-installed software. And PC prices are on the way down.

Of course notebook computers are really great if you want to take advantage of the portability that they offer, although you really need to weigh this against the cost -- as laptops are still much more expensive than your average PC with the same functionality.

You need to determine what capabilities you want your computer to have – the size of the hard drive, the memory and the types of cards – video and audio – that it comes with.

For a standard home or basic office use you should be adequately served by 256 Mb of RAM memories with an 80Gb hard drive for storage.

Two other things to consider are that you will need a monitor and software.

For a monitor, try for a 17 inch so that you don’t have to squint to see what is on your screen. Flat panel displays are great for saving space too and the clarity of the displays now are quite impressive.

Most computers will come installed with software. Find what software the PC will come with and work out if this is all you need.

Basic word processing, spreadsheet and email/organizer software is adequate for most people and the ability to access the internet will require a modem installed as well.

If you are worried about learning to use your computer, don't be. There are tutorials within Windows XP to help get you started, and "wizards" are easy to use, step by step programs built into Windows that will help you learn a lot too.

Plus, once you get hooked up and online with your own computer, you will have access to millions of sites ready and willing to help you learn all about your new desktop PC, the software you have, and even learn how to do things you never imagined!

Upload High Featured System Software Only...

Have you recently bought a new computer and want to install various applications in it? If yes, then we can help you because this article is all about the system software. Are you interested to accompany us in this journey?
Basically, you should know about the computer software first as system software is one of the types of computer software and it will become easy for you to understand its functioning. Computer software means a gathering of different computer programs, applications and procedures within the same unit. All these elements perform an inevitable role in the proper functioning of the computer. There are several kinds of computer software. There are application software that deals with the word processor of the computer (where user can produce something).

There are system software which are associated with the operating system of the computer and at last, there are programming software with the help of which different programs and program languages can be installed in the personal computer. Normally, it is considered as the completely opposite of the computer hardware. But they share some important and unbreakable relationship. Hardware of the computer is said to operate the physical interconnections of the computer and the additional accessories whereas system software is loaded into the memory of the computer and functions in the CPU.
Software produces the instructions that are able to change the physical state of the computer. So, we can not say that it is not related to the hardware of the computer. So, we can say that it helps in the smooth running of hardware and system of the computer. It includes window systems, servers, device drivers and other devices in it. Its main purpose is to familiarize the user with the complex programming of the computer. Especially, the hardware features like printers, displays etc that may vary from computer to computer. Some of the qualities that should be possessed by all system software are discussed ahead. First of all, it must have a high understandability factor. The designs of the documentation of the product must be easy enough of understand by the user. It should possess all the information about the various applications and the computer hardware up to the extent of completeness.
Excessive information should be deleted from it as it can make the user thinking out of track. Portability of the system software is also an important point to be included by each one. It should be easy to operate on the various computer configurations. Efficiency of the software should also be good so that there is the minimized wastage of computer resources and information. And at last, the most important characteristic of system software is that it must be able to protect the data of the computer against the illegal accession and foreign interference. These were some characteristics of the system software that must be well inspected before going for them.
